Why will Teal's the Deal not run ads?

Teal's the Deal strives not to run ads mainly for the experience of our guests. Ads can be:

-Annoying or distracting: Teal's the Deal has distinct looks and layouts to our sites. Ads can change the look and feel of our sites, and make it seem crowded and demoted. 

-Inappropriate: Due to the fact that anyone can create and run ads, certain ads may appear next to an article on our site that is contrary to the article's content, which may cause our guests to be offended.

-Conflict of Interest: Some ads may attempt to spread misinformation or be purposefully misleading. Teal's the Deal Foundation strives to provide education, not incorrect or invaluable information. 

Why does Teal's the Deal post links to certain external pages, but not my page?

Teal's the Deal Foundation will occasionally post or publish links or content to external pages related to partners or sponsors of Teal's the Deal Foundation. If you have any questions why your ad may have been rejected, please email us at ads@tealsthedeal.org.

Can't ads be a good thing?

If planned well and monitored often, ads could be a great addition to any website, including ours.

Ads don't necessarily have to be distracting, however, screening ads to put on our site means more work for the volunteers that run this foundation. Staff could be hired with the revenue generated from ads, but the amount of revenue would be insignificant or only a small amount.

In order for our page to have enough "white space" to run ads, our site would need a serious renovation first!
